The 15 Quietest Dog Breeds
We all love a dog’s bark….until it barks in the middle of the night.
Yes, dogs can be quite noisy, and while you may not care too much if your pup barks during the day, your night-owl neighbor might. While your dog can be trained to stop barking unless told to, some dogs just don’t know when to be quiet.
If you’re in a situation where a noisy dog isn’t the best pup to have, consider adopting a quieter breed. There are breeds that tend to bark less than others.
You may think the quiet breeds are the smallest, but we’ve all known yapping tiny dogs. Some of the quietest dogs tend to be bigger breeds, such as the great Dane, collie, golden retriever, and bull mastiff.
There is still a chance, however, that those dogs can be noisy. A dog being silent isn’t totally dependent on its breed, but also how it was raised.
