Pets today can live longer, healthier lives than ever before. This is in part because of pet vaccinations that help protect them from deadly infectious diseases. Pet vaccinations have protected our loved ones against dangerous diseases have saved millions of pets lives over the years. Unfortunately, many infectious diseases still pose a threat to dogs and cats that are un-vaccinated.
Although many vaccines are available to use in cats and dogs, not every pet needs every vaccine. Some vaccines are considered core vaccines and should be administered to all pets, where as some vaccines are considered lifestyle vaccines and may be recommended based on a variety of factors, such as their risk for exposure to such disease. Our clinic has adopted the three year protocols for many core vaccines in both dogs and cats.
