Microchip Helps Missing Dog Return Home After 10 Years
Microchips can help find missing pups, no matter how long they’ve been missing.
Microchipping involves implanting a tiny chip into your pet. The process is as painless as a normal shot, and having a microchip allows animal rescues to scan your pup or kitty and find its owner. Unlike collars, a microchip will never fall off. Chipping has saved many pups, including Paris.
Paris is a golden retriever that, 10 years ago, went missing from her loving owners. For a dog, 10 years is almost a lifetime, so her owners thought all hope was lost. Ten years passed, and authorities busted a hoarder for having dozens of dogs, all living in horrifying conditions, inside the hoarder’s home. One of those dogs was Paris. Paris’s microchip allowed the authorities to find her owners and send her back to them. Now Paris, an old pup, has been reunited and can live her final years in peace.
Have you microchipped your pets yet? If so, how was the experience for you? Has microchipping ever helped you find your pet?
